FAQ – Self Storage Rental
Here are answers to frequently asked questions when renting a storage unit at Rose City. If you don’t find the answer to your question below please call or email us so we may further assist you.
What personal information do I have to give you?
We collect only the personal information needed to protect you and your belongings, including but not limited to a photograph, name, physical address, telephone number, email address, company name and title if a business, credit card and expiration date.
How do I pay rent?
We accept cash, check or credit card. You can also make your payment online. We encourage our clients to sign up for automatic credit card or debit payment. This allows you to pay rent when due without a trip to the facility and helps to avoid the risk of incurring late fees.
When is rent due?
Rent is prorated to the first of each month and is paid each month in advance. A late fee is imposed if your full payment is not received within 10 days of the due date.
Are there any discounts for longer rental periods?
Please call our Storage Specialist to inquire about discounts. We encourage and typically award renters a discount when renting for a minimum of 12 consecutive months. Longer rental period discounts must go to full term in order to secure the discount.
How long is the rental agreement?
Rental agreements are month-to-month and automatically renew on the first of each month.
Is there a refund policy?
If your unit is occupied on or after the first day of the month, full rent is due for that month. No refund will be given unless a 10-day written notice has been provided in which case rent will be charged at the pro-rated amount.
How secure are my stored items?
Only you and those people you designate will have access to the facility and your unit. Without the necessary clearances, nobody will be allowed inside the facility. Our proprietary security access code system coupled with individual cylinder locks, door alarms and 24 hour color surveillance cameras make it virtually impossible for anybody to enter the facility or your unit without your and our permission.
Are my stored items insured?

Who is responsible for my items while they are in storage?
While Rose City maintains a very safe and secure facility, we never take care, custody, possession or control of your stored goods. While your items are in storage it is required that you maintain insurance.
What size units do you have?
We have 28 different sized units ranging from 6 sf to 300 sf and larger.
When and how often can I access my unit?
As long as your account is current, you may visit your storage unit as often as you like during normal business hours.
Can I work in my unit?
Our use permit and the city’s fire jurisdiction does not allow you to conduct business inside our facility.
Are there any promotions, specials or discounts?
Please contact our Storage Specialists to discuss current and ongoing specials.
I lost my keys to my lock. How can I get into my unit?
Rose City provides to each tenant the most secure cylinder locking system in the industry today. If you lose your key, for a small fee we can install a new cylinder while you are present and send you home with new keys.
Do you accept deliveries?
You may sign a release for at the office and leave a spare key with our Storage Specialist. This release allows us to use the key to place received items in your unit in accordance with your signed instructions.
